What do I have to do if I want to get married at OLIH?

You or someone in your family needs to be a member of OLIH.  Please call (515-964-3038) to set up an appointment with one of our priests at least 6 months before the date of your wedding.  

You may contact us prior to your initial meeting with the priest to check if the church is available on a certain date and have it held, but the date will not be confirmed until the paperwork is received from Father.

 What is the suggested donation for a Baptism, Wedding or Funeral?

Although we do not charge for using our space for the sacramental celebration, there are some fees charged for services.

Stipends for your wedding musicians are reviewed during your meeting with the Director of Worship. If you are having the ceremony livestreamed, the sound and camera crew receive $50 each ($100 total). It is a nice gesture to pay the priest/deacon for their time (suggested range is $100-200). Be aware that Priests (unless retired) donate the money to the church. The church provides space for two dressing rooms along with the church/chapel for rehearsal and times for photos to be taken.
